The Purchasing Specialist helps to manage and maintain the day-to-day operations of the procurement department under the direction of the Procurement Manager.
Essential Functions:
Manages purchasing of materials, equipment, supplies and services
Coordinates across all Azzur Group companies
Maintains master purchase information file
Owns Purchase Orders
Verify accuracy
Resolve discrepancies
Manages suppliers/vendors
Confirms expected delivery date with vendors.
Reviews open order reports and expedites orders to ensure
delivery requirements are met.
Works with suppliers to solve order issues.
Assists in resolving supplier-related issues.
Performs and maintains file of cost comparisons across suppliers.
Monitors supplier performance, captures, and records supplier
performance metrics.
Maintains good relationships with internal stakeholders and with the organization’s vendors.
Additional Functions:
Proactive in performing market research to continually enhance knowledge of the industry and trends.
Attends department meetings and writes meeting minutes.
Basic Qualifications & Position Requirements:
Required Education:
High School Diploma
Preferred Education:
Bachelors Degree
Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain preferred
Required Work Experience:
1 year of related experience
Data Entry
Preferred Experience:
3 years of related experience
Required Knowledge:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive apps and functions
Preferred Knowledge:
Knowledge of sourcing, purchasing, price negotiation
