This is all backed by quality management consultants with decades of experience implementing phase-appropriate GMP for industry leaders.


This employee is a Cleanrooms On Demand business unit leader in providing operational support for facility and client activities. Responsible for employees supporting facility, client startup and continuous business improvement at Cleanrooms On Demand facilities. The Facilities Manager is responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and improvements within the cGMP cleanrooms, laboratory, warehouse, and office spaces. This position will also be responsible for coordinating activities with outside vendors and contractors, and clients.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the content of all internal SOPs and ensure department compliance with training requirements.

  • Ensure all critical, and plant utilities comply with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.

  • Enable the system's daily operations (s) and be responsible for ensuring the consistent application of the established policies and procedures across the entire site footprint.

  • Responsible for operation and overall reliability of the facility and critical utilities.

  • Provides technical engineering support for the following:    Supervision over facilities and critical utility improvement projects cGMP and GxP compliance assessment and verification.

  • Perform in-house preventative maintenance for the facility.

  • Conduct corrective maintenance throughout the facility when necessary.


Additional Functions:

  • Support all contractors and vendors as a liaison while on-site.  Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies, including the FDA, Cal OSHA, FDB, EPA, local fire department, city, etc.
  • Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly. 

Supervisory responsibilities of direct reports:

  • Meet leadership goals by: Planning, organizing and controlling all activities of the department in concert with the Leadership.
  • Supports Leadership by establishing and communicating goals for direct reports.
  • Lead at the site with a positive and optimistic attitude, identifying team opportunities and coaching team members to achieve team and site goals. 
  • Coaching, developing and motivating direct reports to maximize performance & potential. 
  • Provides regular periodic performance feedback and follows the company's commitment to conduct and issue introductory reviews and Quarterly reviews as required. 
  • Monitor set goals on a regular basis (quarterly). 

Meets Training & Development and HR goals such as:
  •  Ensure adequate staffing level are maintained. 
  • Identify and attract new staff.
  • Provide mechanism for professional growth and development of staff
  • Ensuring training has been received before undertaking specific duties and that all training is documented in training records as required by SOP's. 
  • Confirming of Company's Policies and Procedures. 
  • Ensuring accurate and timely completion of assigned employee timesheets 
  • all contractors and vendors as a liaison while on-site.  Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies, including the FDA, Cal OSHA, FDB, EPA, local fire department, city, etc.
  • Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly. 


Basic Qualifications & Position Requirements: 

Required Education: 

  • High School graduate or equivalent. Coursework or specialized training in plumbing/electrical/mechanical systems

Preferred Education: 

  • Certificate or Vocational Training in specialized training (plumbing/electrical/mechanical systems) Degree a plus.  

Required Work Experience:

  • 8 years of facilities maintenance or equivalent experience in a regulated environment.
