Associate Director - Microbiologist

Azzur Lab is looking for Associate Director- Microbiologist, who will perform laboratory testing and interacts with clients to interpret their results. They will  ensure that established methods and protocols complete laboratory testing. 

Responsibilities:

1. Interact with clients on an as-needed technical basis.  Advise and consult about testing methods, and interpretation of results, and suggest additional and/or alternative testing or methods.
2. Set-up and analyze tests using the aseptic technique and according to protocols, specifications, and directives.
3. Collaborate with the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of quality systems.
4. Perform laboratory testing in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025.
5. Possess relevant knowledge of the technology used for the manufacturing of materials tested, or the way they are used or intended to be used, and of the defects or degradations that may occur during or in service.
6. Assist in the managing of daily tasks and responsibilities.

Required Education:

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in the field of the life sciences.

Required Work Experience: 

• 6-8 years’ experience in Microbiology Lab. 
• Supervisory experience 
• 1-2 years of QC activities, including CAPA
• Environmental monitoring experience

Required Knowledge:

• Universal Blood and Body Fluid Precautions
• Common laboratory equipment, methods, and protocols
